Chapter 3: Chatting With Alya
Point of View: Marinette's

I could hear Alya coming up the stairs before I heard her voice. "Girl, we need to talk," she said. I smiled, turning away from my homework. I had known ever since I got home that she would be coming.
"About?" I asked anyway, just to make sure I was right about what she wanted to know.
"Your kiss with Adrien!" she said as if it was obvious. I guess it was. "How? When? Why? What was it like?"
"One question at a time, please," I laughed, spinning around in my chair. She plopped down on my bed, ready to get all of the answers she needed out of me.
   "Okay. When?"
   "Last night."
   "What time?"
   "I don't know. Around...eight, maybe?"
"Were you two on a date?"
I immediately went red. I wish it had been a date... "No."
   "Then how did it happen?"
I sighed, still not understanding that part very well. "He walked up to me and told me he needed to tell me something. I needed to get home, but he stopped me. Then after he told me that he needed to tell me something, he leaned in and kissed me," I said, telling her everything I could without lying.
She squealed. "It's not as romantic as I had imagined, but keep going," she said eagerly. "Where?"
"Right around the corner of my house," I lied, not being able to tell her the truth about that part. She would find it weird if I had told her that we had been on a rooftop.
"Aww! How cute! Did your parents see?" she asked.
   "No. Thank goodness for that."
   "What was it like?"
I smiled, thinking about it. "It was...kind of a long kiss," I said. Thinking back, I guess it really was. At least a minute. It was long enough for both of us to turn back. "We weren't making out or anything. It was just a really sweet kiss."
"Girl, that is awesome!" Alya squealed, grinning at me. I grinned back, feeling my cheeks go red. "Well, that's all I came here for. I just needed to know these details. My best friend finally got the nerve to kiss Adrien Agreste, the boy she has been obsessing over for the whole year now."
With that, she got off my bed and went back downstairs to leave. I sighed, leaning back in my chair. She would've thought it was a lot sweeter if I had been able to tell her everything that had happened, I thought as Tikki came out of hiding and sat down on my desk.
"Are you going to kiss him again?" Tikki asked curiously.
"Uh...yes. Maybe. I don't know," I sighed, my cheeks going red. "Probably. It just...felt so right. Even before I knew it was Adrien. I enjoyed our first kiss, and I haven't ever forgotten about it. I don't know why it felt right, almost natural."
"I think you should," she told me, smiling. "You two get along so well when you're in disguise. You're already so close. And like Adrien said, you two now know something about each other that nobody else does."
"You're right," I said to her. "I just don't know how to bring it up. Do I make the move to do it? Or should he? Should we go on a date or something?"
Tikki zipped over to my bed and brought my phone back over to me. She put the phone in my hand. "Call him," she said. "Chances are he's looking at his phone right now and contemplating if he should call you."
"Fine," I said, smiling at her.
"I believe in you, Marinette," she said as I dialed Adrien's number, which I had never gotten rid of since I first got it. I held the phone to my ear, biting my lip.
When he answered on the first ring with an upbeat "Hello, Marinette", I freaked out and dropped my phone on my desk. Tikki was right. He most likely had been looking at his phone. Tikki shook her head, smiling. She flipped the phone over so she could talk into it. I watched her with wide eyes.
"Hello, Adrien. This is Tikki, Marinette's kwami," she said. I suppose it didn't matter if she told him who she was, since Adrien had a kwami, as well. But still...what was she doing? After Adrien said hello in return, she continued. "Marinette was wondering if you'd like to go on a date with her."
I felt my heart stop when she said that. My mouth opened a bit, and I couldn't move. Tikki looked up at me. "Marinette, you weren't going to do it yourself," she whispered. Yeah. When she said that she believed in me, I'm sure that was gone the second I dropped the phone.
"Well, tell Marinette I would love to go on a date with her," I heard Adrien say through the phone. "Can you put her on?"
"Of course," Tikki said with a smug little grin on her face. I sighed, rolling my eyes at her as I picked up the phone.
"Hi, Adrien," I said nervously. I heard him laugh a bit.
"So you want to go on a date with me?" he asked me.
I nodded, then I remembered that he couldn't see me. "Uh...yes," I said.
"Well, whenever you want, I can work it out," he said. "Have a nice night, Marinette." Then quieter, like he was turning the phone away, "Plagg, shut up. I don't need your help. Go eat your camembert."
"Is your kwami trying to help?" I asked, smiling.
"Yes. He thinks he's all-knowing when it comes to dating," he laughed.
"I am!" I heard a voice complain in the background. I laughed, covering my mouth.
"Says the same guy who only loves cheese," Adrien shot back, laughing.
"Cheese is great. I don't see why you don't understand how amazing cheese is," the voice defended.
"Cheese is great when I don't have to carry the smelliest kind on me at all times," Adrien said. "I swear, I smell like dirty socks at all times during the day."
"I think you smell great," I said before I realized I had said it. When I realized it, my face went red and I laid my head on the desk in shame.
"Thanks," Adrien laughed. Then he sighed. "I need to keep doing homework. I would much rather spend all night talking to my Lady, but homework is important, too."
I lifted my head up. He wants to keep talking to me? I smiled. "Will tomorrow work?" I asked. Tomorrow was Friday, so it would work perfectly. Tikki grinned at me.
"Of course, purr-incess," he murmured, and I rolled my eyes.
"You're going to start pulling out cat puns now?" I asked.
He chuckled. "Of course. Fur-tunately for you, I have plenty," he said.
"Maybe you should go do homework," I laughed.
   "Alright," he laughed. "Goodnight, beautiful."
"Goodnight, Adrien," I said, hanging up the phone. Tikki was still smiling at me.
"You're welcome," she said to me.
"Thanks. Knowing how fast Alya learns about these things, I might as well tell her now," I said. Tikki nodded. I called Alya.
"I got a date" was all I could say before she said she was on her way back and hung up. I smiled.
